Outlook - Turning Off Email Forwarding

Turning off email forwarding varies by the version of Outlook you are using.

If you’re using the New Outlook or the web version of Outlook:

  1. Open Settings by clicking the gear symbol in the top right corner.
  2. In the window that pops up, click Mail.
  3. Click Forwarding.
  4. Toggle the “Enable Forwarding” switch to off.
  5. Everything under “Enable Forwarding” should disappear.
  6. Click “Save”.

If you’re using the Classic Outlook:

  1. In the top ribbon, click the Home tab.
  2. Click “More commands” or the three dots.
  3. In the window that pops up, click “Rules”.
  4. Click “Manage Rules & Alerts”.
  5. Click the rule that is forwarding.
  6. Choose “Delete”.
  7. Click “OK”.
  8. If you have any more confirmations, click through until they’ve applied.
