The Texas A&M AI Framework (tamus.ai)to support responsible, secure, and effective use of artificial intelligence across our university.
The framework provides clear guidance and shared best practices for how we use AI in day-to-day work, teaching, research, and administrative processes—while aligning with University expectations and relevant requirements (including privacy, security, accuracy, and compliance).
Using the Texas A&M AI Framework helps us:
- Reduce risk related to sensitive information, security, and compliance
- Improve quality by encouraging human review and verification
- Strengthen academic and research integrity
- Increase consistency across departments so expectations are clear
- Increase productivity while staying within appropriate boundaries
We encourage everyone to review the framework and apply it when considering AI tools for your work. Additional training and resources will be shared soon.
