Accessing JaguarWifi

There are two wifis available and provided by the University.

TAMUVGuest Wifi

  • Open wifi - available to anyone
  • not encrypted
  • slower speeds
  • Best option for devices that do not have an option for a password.
  • Employees - Guest does not have access to University resources (Laserfiche, kyoceras, department drives, etc)

JaguarWifi

  • Faster speeds
  • Encrypted
  • Employees - access to work resources

To access JaguarWifi:

  1. Connect to TAMUVGuest
  2. Visit wifi.tamuv.edu from your browser
  3. Login with your Student or Employee credentials
  4. This will generate a unique, eight-character password that can be used for one device 
    • For additional devices, repeat the steps for additional passwords
    • Passwords expire after 6 months. To renew, go through the connection steps again for a new password
  5. Once the password is acquired, try to connect to the JaguarWiFi Network on the device you would like to use
  6. When prompted for a password, use the one you received from the process
