Overview
IMPORTANT: This will work for Excel downloaded from office.uhv.edu, but not for the office apps on the web. Analytic Solver is a separate add-in that must be downloaded with the instructions from the professor.
Steps
To get the Analysis Toolpak and Solver add-ins for Excel, open an Excel Spreadsheet, and:
1. In the top search bar search “add-ins”
2. Select “add-ins” with the gear icon under Actions
3. Check Analysis Toolpak, Analysis Toolpak VBA, and Solver, and press OK
4. These add-ins can be accessed in the Data tab to the far right above Analyze.
